Anytime the words St. Anger are mentioned it elicits all types of reactions, unfortunately most of them are negative. The paint can snare sound, the lack of solos, and Bob Rock’s production and bass playing. Well I happen to think St. Anger has some cool songs on it, don’t get me wrong, it has some steaming turds as well, but if you substitute the snare with something that sounds more “appropriate” and add Robert Trujillo to the mix, well you get this, a live version of what is in my opinion one of the heaviest riffs the band has ever recorded, and the best song off of the album.
